Does rhodium plating make a white gold ring 'bendable'? Within hours of collection the shape distorted badly.? - bendable small camera tripod
Recently I was 6 years 18-carat white gold diamond ring 8 of the rhodium-carved stone and clean, like "light" deformed through use.
Within 48 hours after receiving the ring again in a distorted form of "Bun", flattening the bottom. This process can weaken gold?

Rhodium number of leaves a very thin layer of rhodium is on the gold surface. There is nothing we can do to weaken or impair the behavior of gold. While rhodium is only what a corrosion resistant bright in the ring - a bit like wax your car.
Advice on the following topics: I am from a family of jewelers and grew up with this kind of thing. Obviously I have not seen her ring, so here I can imagine.
They say that the ring was slightly distorted due to wear. Is it possible that (the portion of stem, to go to the finger) was diluted with? This is very common. If yes, then do not flatten easily. A thin rod is bent, as you describe very easily. Also in 18 carat gold is very soft, it makes it even more likely. Any pressure exerted on the ring, also firmly grip the steering wheel you can mention causing distortion. I emphasize again, I saw the ring, so I do not know!
Every jeweler interested in staying in business takes care of taking Straight with your customers. Enjoy once more and let the show. It is likely that additional permits must be maintained, the money (of course) to do what I can do well. In addition, offer the opportunity to do the same.
Good luck, and hope to find an answer.
